Your career path and the role you currently hold
When I was 19, I felt lost. I was planning to become a company secretary and even cleared the first CET Exam but it didn’t interest me. My brother felt the same way. We both wanted to build something fresh but weren’t sure what. Dropping out from the degree in between was scary. My family was worried about our future. What might a 19-year-old dropout do? Instead of giving up, we decided to get into real estate marketing. I had 0 experience; I’ve never worked at a job but my brother who was 20 at that time was working at Samsung store as a sales executive with a good salary but later he quit his job to join me.
We were passionate and driven. Initially, it was just the two of us working late nights in a little room, attempting to figure everything out. There were difficult times, but looking back, dropping out was the hardest choice I ever made, but it led me to where I am today. Our journey has had many ups and downs, but Ashwin (My elder dude) and I have always supported each other.
He’s the main character in this journey, without him it was nearly impossible to scale this company. Now i’m 20 and he’s 21 We’ve shown that age doesn’t matter when you have passion. Socixmedia proves you can break free from expectations and create something amazing. As I write this, I know we’re just getting started. The fire that drove us is still strong, and we aim to make Socixmedia the top luxury real estate marketing agency in the world. This journey is about believing in yourself and discipline to keep going.
Lessons I’ve learned
Over a period of time and through meeting various millionaires at this age, I’ve learned some very important lessons that have really got me where I am today. One of the biggest lessons is that most people think they need to learn everything before they start. They think they need to be fully prepared, have all the knowledge, and master every skill before they take that first step. But let me tell you, that’s the biggest mistake you can make. you learn when you start and learn while actually doing the stuff.
Another one I’d like to say is: Do the hardest thing first. Most people avoid doing the hardest tasks first but doing it really well and first could bring immense success to your business. when you face the hardest stuff first, you build discipline, you learn how to solve problems, and you build resilience that carries you forward.
