My journey began during my college days when I developed a deep passion for Computer-Aided Design (CAD). I pursued freelance design engineering and gained hands-on experience working at a small design agency. After contributing to several milestone projects, I decided to establish Crenodez Engineering Solutions in 2018. The name “Crenodez” reflects our core values—Creativity, Innovation, and Design. As I
learned about the commercialization of 3D printing technology, we soon expanded our services to include rapid prototyping using 3D printing, transforming how we serve our clients and approach modern manufacturing.
What Inspired Crenodez
A defining moment came during the SAE BAJA competition, where I was part of a team tasked with designing an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) from scratch. The experience sparked my passion for engineering design. Later, when I discovered 3D printing, I realized the incredible potential this technology had to revolutionize manufacturing. Traditional methods of manufacturing complex geometries were often cumbersome and slow, but 3D printing allowed us to create intricate designs layer by layer in much less time. The combination of design freedom and efficiency solidified my decision to offer 3D printing services at Crenodez.
Overcoming Early Challenges
As with any new venture, the early days were full of challenges. One of the biggest
hurdles were convincing customers to trust 3D printing technology. Many were skeptical about its reliability and usefulness. However, by consistently delivering high-quality parts on time, we gradually built their trust. Over time, Crenodez earned a reputation not only as a provider of 3D-printed parts but as a trusted partner in the product development journey. Another challenge was finding skilled personnel who understood both engineering design and 3D printing. We overcame this by creating internship and training programs, which allowed us to educate and groom the next generation of talent.
Crenodez Today: A 3D Printing Hub
Crenodez has grown into a versatile and forward-thinking company with a strong emphasis on 3D printing and engineering design. We offer a wide range of 3D printing services, utilizing technologies like FDM, DLP, SLA, and MJF, and can produce parts in materials ranging from basic PLA to industrial-grade Nylon PA12. We also have the capability to 3D print metal parts using technologies like EBM, LPBF, and SLM, working with materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and even Inconel.
Beyond 3D printing, we provide engineering design solutions for New Product Development (NPD), plastic and metal enclosures, jigs and fixture designs, as well as press and mold tool design. We also have expertise in CNC machining, laser cutting,
injection molding, and other manufacturing technologies, making us a comprehensive partner for our clients.
Recently, we’ve added a new vertical focused on certified engineering design and 3D printing training programs. These programs are designed to upgrade the skills of college students and working professionals, helping them stay competitive in an evolving industry.
Achievements and Success Stories
One of our proudest achievements was being recognized as the “Emerging Company” of 2021-2022 by the Indian Achiever’s Forum. This recognition validated our efforts in pushing the boundaries of 3D printing and engineering design.
A key project that showcases our ability to solve complex problems involved a client in the food processing industry. The client was under immense pressure to deliver a conveyor system but was missing an essential component—a work-holding fixture. With the deadline approaching, traditional manufacturing would have taken months. Thanks to our expertise in 3D printing, we were able to design and deliver 30 units of the fixture in just four days, a timeline that would have been impossible with conventional methods.
