In this conversation, Wessam shares her journey, unique consulting style, and valuable insights on business growth, global markets, and entrepreneurship in today’s competitive landscape.
What inspired you to start JTGT Global?
JTGT existed long before I joined, and to be precise, since 1980 under another name and another activity. The company came back into action in 2015 under a new name and activity, and I was not officially a member, but I cooperated with them on different occasions until I officially received an offer to join the company in 2017.
How do you help businesses expand globally?
With the help of social media, proper marketing, targeting the desired markets and segments, and being consistent and following the latest trends are all keys.
What makes your consulting approach unique?
I connect insights across industries to find root causes, not just symptoms. I give you 80% of the answer in 10% of the usual time, while clearly flagging the remaining risk. Most importantly, I translate between different teams so everyone actually understands each other, and smooth processing is done with minimal errors.
Biggest challenge in your journey?
Frankly, being in our current advanced market nowadays is very challenging. There isn’t any particular challenge however, the challenges/obstacles are more on the complicated/ technology side. For example, the network errors while clients are completing their online purchases are one of the common issues that we, and of course, many other e-commerce businesses, definitely encounter. For instance, when sales are made through our website, one of the problems we face is the drop of network, which leads the transaction to be abandoned this on many times leads us losing the sale. We are continuously working on improving our services to avoid similar errors and make things easier for our clients.
Key strategy for business growth today?
A) Focuses on competitive pricing, loyalty programs, and aggressive marketing.
B) Introduce new or enhanced products.
C)Sell your current products into entirely new markets.
D) Regularly adding new products for customers in your market and other markets.
How do you manage global teams effectively?
Working anywhere requires strong teamwork. Without teamwork, it is definite that companies either produce less or most likely fail. Therefore, we consider many things to achieve that goal, such as:
- Define the purpose. Clearly define the purpose of the team, including the overall outcome it has been brought together to achieve. …
- Assemble the team. …
- Determine the goals. …
- Set expectations. …
- Monitor and review. …
- Celebrate and reward.
Role of innovation in your work?
Innovation in my consulting work means applying proven principles to new contexts faster than competitors—not chasing buzzwords. I innovate on process and pattern recognition, not technology for its own sake, ensuring every “new” approach still answers the fundamental question: does this create measurable value for the client.
Importance of cultural intelligence in business?
Cultural intelligence prevents expensive misunderstandings. It allows you to adapt communication, negotiation, and product design to local norms—turning cross-cultural friction into trust. High CQ helps you enter new markets without alienating partners or customers, and retain diverse talent by fostering genuine inclusion. In a globalized economy, low CQ is a hidden growth killer. Simply put: technical skill gets you in the room; cultural intelligence keeps you there.
Advice for aspiring entrepreneurs?
I visualize the world of business as ancient battles, it’s cruel, it is chaos, survival is only for the strong, use all your power, mental or physical, no rules and no limits. If you are well-equipped and have the skill, together may be your path to win, and still maybe not.

We aim to see our store as one of the most popular e-commerce women intimates store in Kuwait.
