Who has made the most significant impact on your life?
I have been super curious at every agency/job I worked, and have kept on asking thousands of questions that are directly or indirectly related to our work and there were always 1-2 people at all places who really valued those moments and showed me the directions to my curiosity, so for sure many seniors and bosses have inspired me a lot.
What challenges have you faced in your life?
I guess failures at multiple stages of my life have the maximum impact on my journey and the efforts to correct myself and keep going ahead is a steady day-to-day inspiration that keeps me going.
What key lessons have you gained from your career?
In the media and communication industry especially in India, the scenario is heavily pressured by servicing the clients and that creates a big stress for the entire agency to cater to the never-ending needs of the clients, it’s sometimes the problem of the agency side too as the desperate need to pleasing the client is always above the mental health of the employees. Slowly while learning through all the stages I realized that quality of work is very important personally as well as it directly affects the productivity of everyone, so realization that for everyone is super important and not letting others dictate your life, especially clients is the biggest challenge everyone should fight and face individually and overcome them to improve the work-life balance. Once you are happy, automatically everything will fall into place, if not then nothing will work for you.
What do you consider the biggest hurdle for brands in the digital world?
Engagement – that’s the biggest problem, building a community of loyal audience is the challenge for every brand and it can definitely not be solved by throwing money on ads and influencers, it’s the faces of the brands who have to learn digital media and use their face and realistic stories of how the brand thinks and the culture is the only way one can connect strongly with the audience.
How does your product solve your customers’ pain points?
For Let It Wag – we created a simple solution to the biggest problem of animals in India – Emergency rescue. No one knows what to do or who to call when they see an accident of an animal, so our app allows people to create emergency tickets, contact all helplines in their 5km hyperlocal area as well as they can connect with Vets, NGOs, Ambulances, Foster care, and nearby volunteers in the app, a simple solution of tech in everyone’s pocket has allowed us to help more than 27000 animal lives in last 5 years.
What do you do in your free time?
Podcasts are super fun to keep learning new things and how others take their chances in life, The internet has everything we want to learn, just don’t get distracted.
Do you have any advice for those aiming to become entrepreneurs or CEOs
Build an insane amount of courage before starting anything because entrepreneur life is not gonna be easy and every single day there will be brand new problems to solve and one surely needs a big heart and a lot of courage for that.
