Name: Mr. Nishant Desai
Job title & Company: Founder & CEO, “Kinsh Technologies”
Linkedin Profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/nishkinsh/
I started my first job as a PHP Developer and was promoted to team leader in just 11 months because of good communication and client handling. At that time my major role shifted from PHP developer to client manager who was also responsible for generating business by bidding on portals and getting new projects to communicate and update the clients regarding the project updates.
Upon recognizing my capability to drive business for external entities, I discovered the potential to establish my own enterprise and cultivate opportunities for my proprietary venture. This realization marked the inception of Kinsh Technologies in 2009.
Who has had the greatest impact on your life?
Mr. Ratan Tata has been a profound influence on my life. His exemplary leadership, ethical values, and commitment to societal welfare have shaped my perspective on success and responsibility. I admire Mr. Tata for his visionary approach to business, consistently driving innovation and global impact. His ability to navigate challenges with resilience and integrity inspires me to approach obstacles with a similar mindset.
Struggles you have faced
I faced a few challenges in the span of 15 years in business, but let me outline 2 of the challenges that I think were major and others can learn from me how to overcome them.
Adapting to Rapid Technological Changes
In the dynamic landscape of the IT industry, one significant challenge has been navigating and adapting to rapid technological changes. The evolution of software, hardware, and methodologies demanded constant learning and upskilling for both myself and my team. To overcome this, I implemented a robust professional development program, encouraging continuous learning and certification. This not only ensured our skills remained current but also fostered a culture of innovation and adaptability within the organization.
Navigating Market Volatility
The IT sector is susceptible to market fluctuations and economic uncertainties. One notable challenge was steering the company through a period of economic downturn. To address this, I implemented strategic cost management measures, fostering efficiency without compromising on service quality. Additionally, diversifying our service offerings and exploring new markets helped mitigate the impact of economic volatility. This experience reinforced the importance of agility and strategic planning in sustaining business resilience.
In both instances, the key to overcoming challenges lies in proactive measures, whether through investing in continuous learning or implementing strategic business practices. Emphasizing resilience and adaptability has been crucial in ensuring the sustained success of my IT company.

What key takeaways have you gathered from your career experiences?
The most important lesson that I have learned in my professional career is that running a business or scaling a business is not a one-man show. You need a good team who can keep your clients happy and good clients who can pay you well enough to keep your employees happy. Your team needs recognition, flexibility of work and life balance, upgrading of their skills, and a secure environment along with a good monetary reward to stay in your company for long! Your client needs great after-sales support and should feel that you and your team are always available whenever they need you. A great customer experience is also a must to grow your business.
The primary challenge for brands in the digital space is navigating the saturated online landscape while maintaining authentic and meaningful connections with their audience. With the constant influx of content and competition, standing out requires strategic content creation, personalized engagement, and leveraging emerging technologies. Additionally, ensuring a robust cybersecurity infrastructure to protect customer data is paramount. The key lies in adapting swiftly to evolving digital trends, embracing innovation, and fostering a dynamic online presence that resonates with the target demographic.
What activities do you like to do in your free time?
- I love to watch movies.
- I am a die-hard SRK and Bollywood fan.
- I also love reading books about scaling the business and personal growth.
Do you have any guidance for someone aiming to pursue entrepreneurship or a CEO role?
It may be again controversial but recently Mr. Narayan Murthy said that the youth should ask to work for 70 hours a week. I don’t remember a day where I have not worked 10 to 12 hours a day, all 7 days a week (Most of the time)! It’s not about the hours you work, but it has always been the passion to achieve something great compared to others that has kept me going. Never see the clock if you want to achieve your dreams. Go, work hard, get out of your comfort zone, take risks, and enjoy the rewards.
